Is this a good idea for a tattoo?

i spent most of my life in the bay area of california and i want a tattoo to resemble it. im thinkin of an outline of california with a nautical star in the location of where i am from. does it sound like a good idea? also if i do get it the bottom half of the state will be blank...any filler suggestions?
i want to add something inside the outline at the bottom to make it more original but i cant think of anything

If you were born in california you could also do a star with the city your were born in or if any of your siblings or kids were born in california getting stars there as well. Also places you have visited. Or if you surf or whatever your hobby is you could get that in the background. Or maybe you lived in California but you have a different ethnic background like German or Italian or Pacific Islander you could get the flag of the country where your ethnicity comes from. Add stuff in there that makes it unique to you other wise you just have a portion of the united states outlined on your body.
