How can I improve endurance in butterfly?
trying to finish 50 meters in 25 meter pool, I feel good in the first half and then struggling to completion of the second half, I feel I lose the momentum, the energy after the turn, you may consume too much energy for change? The air becomes more valuable in the end. I encourage every move, imitating Michael Phelps "style closely. Also swimming butterfly blades help improve endurance? I hear swimming is not good paddles for swimming technique. thanks for the advice.
Dont try to emulate Phelps because chances are you have no talent he has, and can not take forward some of the things he does .. breathing every move is only useful if they are so good at keeping your hips moving and not lift your head to breathe the chin. The key to its strength is working on his technique, watch some videos and try to mimic the force under water before they imitate breathing. Everyother stroke breathing should help you get into a rhythm and keep more of your drive, turn shouldn't have much energy, should have the power in the push to be trying to kick as hard as you can. Things you need to work on: - race under water (to move faster) - Control of breathing (to last longer in the same rhythm) - kicks (Combined with the control of breathing during pushoffs large)
