Are bullheads found in creeks?
I live in northwest PA. I'd like to catch some bullhead. There is a creek by my house that's probably 10-20 feet wide, and ranges from 6 inches to 12 feet deep. It empties into Lake Erie. All I've ever seen in there are minnows and chubs. Would there possibly be bullhead in there as well? If there are, where would they be located? In the deep, slow moving parts?
bullheads are very adaptable and if there were any in the stream I am sure they'd be easy to spot at some time during the year when the swarms of small ones are swimming around...try putting a line with a worm and a heavy sink into the deep area and leave it over night - check it every day - after a few days if you don't catch one - chances are there aren't any..
I suspect if it empties into Lake Erie there should be..more than chubs and minnows in it...
