Surface of our planet is covered with water up to 71%. Even thought the ocean surface is exploited for fishing, transport and scientific research, the deepest part of the world's oceans continue to be affected by any human being. The deepest seas has many untold mysteries, legends and stories which are demanding more humanity and seeking answers to thousands of questions.
The high seas are part of the ocean at a depth of 200 meters which is in permanent darkness. The chasm, with an average depth of 3.8 kilometers, is the most common of the environment on Earth.
The seabed is covered by vast plains of unconsolidated sediments composed of debris and fine particles that drift down from the surface. The water is cold, because they are the polar regions, and its weight exerts considerable pressure life on the seabed.
Although the bottom of the deep sea has no plants, our studies show that it is extremely diverse animal species, with often more than shallow water. For example, an area of shallow water may have only 10 to 20 species of crustaceans, isopods, while some habitats deep water have more than 100 species.
Deep sea animals in the world are similar. However, most species are highly endemic and limited to small parts of large ocean basins apparently continuous.
For most of us do not have much to do with the deep sea, we often abuse. The damage and changes in that environment in May last for decades, centuries or even longer. There are things that could damage the deep sea environment are: human waste from passing ships, Deep Ocean Mining and drilling, water evacuation deep liquefied carbon dioxide extracted from power plants and global warming.

NOAA's Undersea Research Program is a comprehensive underwater research that supports NOAA's mission by providing scientists with the support, tools and expertise necessary to conduct underwater searches of regional, national and global. Special interest to NURP is research-oriented responsibilities management of NOAA coral, fish and other deep-sea ecosystems. NURP is also involved in the advancement of marine biotechnology in Through its Institute for Sub-Sciences and Technologies (NIUST) Conservatoire National Marine natural products. This repository is the intensive study first / sampling of organisms of coral reefs in the United States that are visible internally to biomedical research and the potential agrochemicals, and are available to qualified researchers for study of biotechnology further.
