how to catch blue marlin and yellowfin tuna by hook and line?
Two different stories. Blue marlin are large (usually 200 pounds or more, up more than 1000). The only way to get them is (as the kids have already said) to get on a charter boat with a crew and captain who know what they are doing, and be prepared to spend several days there. Try Cabo San Lucas or the coast of Mexico, or Hawaii. Trawling is usually several lack of strong lines, when a line is something that the fisher has the bar and sits in a chair against which to make better throws, while the captain uses the boat to follow the fish and help with the work to the boat. yellow is a different matter. You can take (sometimes large) outlets like blue marlin, (in general as bycatch), but the smaller schools are typical of the southern border of Mexico, depending on how warm the water and time of year. Partyboat late summer and travel to San Diego Charter sometimes seen on 10-40 pounds. The trips of several days reaching out of range in San Diego in the south to Clipperton Island, and the goal of large (40-300 + lb) - in fact, all the world record yellowfin tuna in the last 30 years have come out these trips. (The record is 388 pounds, two larger ones have been landed but disqualified by the IGFA for technicians.) These party boats 90-120 feet long, carrying about 20 passengers, casting lures for these fish with 100 pound line test, and combating the legalization of fish on the railing of a ship still.
