Has sexism played an important role in a certain culture?
Would sexism offend women and why? Also, why is it that when boys are born, a blue ribbon is put on the doors and girls a pink one? Why do boys where pants and girls where skirts? Why do boys play with toy cars and action figures and why girls play with dolls?
Why wouldn't it be normal for girls to participate in body building, bikers and ultimate fighting?
Why wouldn't it be normal for a guy to be 'man enough?'
A "certain" culture? Almost all cultures sexism plays a role. I truly can not think of one society that there is not a level of sexism. Yes, cultures are far worse than others. For instance in Afghanistan when the Taliban invaded women were not allowed to leave the house w/o a male relative, they were not allowed to go to a hospital was adequately supplied (that was for the men). But even in US society, there is underlining sexism. Men (on average) make more money than women for the same job. But, no matter how you look at it men and women are different, so it is not surprising.
