Did you know that fish can foreign scents and tastes to your bait and lures sense?
I was on the docks the next morning, and I was talking to an old fisherman. He is in the prime of his life because he worked hard as a machine operator in a factory, he is now retired goes fishing and every morning with his faithful dog, Bosco.
As we talked it all over to catch a few garfish, while remained my bait in the water without even a nibble. That is, when he asked what I had done this morning. I told him that I had for my morning walk with my wife and our dog, had a shower and a shave the head down here for some time before I relax.
His next question surprised me, "what did you shave?"
"Gillette Cool Ice ", I replied
"It's your problem!" He said: "Your wife might think you smell good with it, but the fish do not "
He went on to tell me that fish can foreign scents and tastes in the water meaning. By baiting my hook for the use of aftershave, the scent of the aftershave was the bait or lure and the fish would be handed over, not touching.
Even freshly washed human hands able to rely on foreign scents on baits. The best way to remove all the smell is to mix up a small bottle of tuna oil and water, then the hands thoroughly with a small crowd in front of baiting a hook, and wiping off excess with a towel so you do not get oil all over the equipment. You must just enough to moisten your hands enough to use for the tuna oil smell other scents cover.
Aftershave is not the only thing that will scare the fish. After a cigarette, with umbrellas and hundreds of other little things that we can not think about going away from your fish bait.
Be smart, catch more fish, keep your hands free from foreign smell!
